Why Support Us
To address the known gap, the organisation provides a supportive learning community where young historians can access mentorship, research training, academic workshops, and opportunities that strengthen their knowledge, skills, and confidence as emerging scholars and professionals.
Every contribution helps us sustain initiatives that strengthen historical education and expand opportunities for the next generation of historians.

YOUNG HISTORIANS UNDERGRADUATE HISTORY COMPETITION
We are grateful to acknowledge the generous donation of ₦50,000 from Mrs. Rosemary Akpan towards the upcoming Young Historians Undergraduate History Competition. Mrs. Akpan requested that this donation be made in honour of Ononiwu Oparah, whom she describes as a strong source of inspiration in helping her find meaning in the study of History as a discipline.
THE KINGSLEY EZEUWA PRIZE
For our upcoming national undergraduate history competition, the first runner up will be getting an additional ₦50,000 award attached to the Competition. This is different from the prize that will come with winning the competition. The prize is sponsored by Kingsley C. Ezeuwa, a scholar and PhD candidate at Marquette University, United States, in support of undergraduate historical scholarship and young historians.
